One of my absolute favorite places in Berkeley is Ici {pronounced ee-cee}. It's an adorable little ice cream shop that hand-makes their ice cream, sorbets, candies and other desserts right in the store. They use fresh, local ingredients and have really interesting flavors like Orange-Cranberry Crème Fraîche, Burnt Caramel, Earl Grey and some classics like Coffee and Chocolate. Honestly best ice cream I've ever had! I chose Dulce de Leche in a hand-rolled, chocolate tipped ice cream cone!

oh my gosh i've been there! they had the strangest flavors!! i think i tried sweet potato or some vegetable one haha. but i think i ended up with rocky road

ReplyDeleteJust found your blog and wanted to say hi! Your last few posts make this feel like such a small world--I graduated from Cal four years ago and then moved down to Santa Barbara (that rotunda at the Fess Parker is where we celebrate Christmas Eve with our church!)! Where is Ici located? Most everywhere I ate was on either Telegraph or Durant, but this little strip of sidewalk looks adorable...
