We want Ginger to get used to water so we're trying to give her bi-monthly baths. She was so confused when we put her in the water. She stood really still at first and then started whimpering and tried to climb out. It wasn't that bad once we put on the shampoo, which smelled amazing by the way. It had a very herbal smell like rosemary that was so relaxing. I almost wish I could put it in my hair!
{my mom helped}

{ignore my messy bathroom}
Ginger is getting cuter and bigger every day! When we got her she weighed almost 7lbs and now she weighs a little over 8! I'm so curious to see how big she'll get and what she'll look like!
I hope you all are having a relaxing Memorial Day!

These photos are so precious! So so sweet. What kind of shampoo was it?
ReplyDeleteAw, how cute! Monte isn't a huge fan of baths but luckily we get him groomed so we don't bathe him too often. Still, it's not a fun situation, hehe.
ReplyDeleteSo adorable! I still remember Coco's first bath...only because she pooped in my shower. *Sigh* Puppies!! Can't help but love them.
ReplyDeleteShe is the cutest thing I have ever seen!
ReplyDeleteshe is soooo cute Mara, I remember my dog used to hate all these baths hahaha
ReplyDeleteit's a labrador?
Awwww how sweet is your lil kiddo?! Fun times:-) Toby (our male Westie) loves shower time, but Capri (princess westie) HATES it! Lol Fun times:-)
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great weekend!
So sweet. Love her in towel, she looks so tiny!
ReplyDeleteWhenever I give my dogs a bath, the big dog always helps me dry the little dog. It is pretty cute.
Aww!! She's adorable!! Do you have any idea what she is?? She's got some lab or golden in her for sure!
ReplyDeleteShe is so incredibly sweet ! What a cutie !
ReplyDeleteI loveee wet puppies! They're so cute! I also tried to get Abby (my golden) used to different things when she was little. I'd pet her and hold her while she ate, especially her head and nose, so she'd be used to it and wouldn't snap at anyone who tried to touch her while she was eating.
ReplyDeletethis pictures are making me melt. so adorable!
ReplyDeletewhat breed is she?
She's sooo cute! They do grow up fast. Love the way you talk about her. Great pics. Have a wonderful week ahead :)

ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Those photos will be wonderful memories for when she is older and bigger. You will remember how little she is. x
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of Nix's first bath :) He just kind of stood there looking terrified the whole time. So adorable!
ReplyDeleteHow old is Ginger now? If she's around 8-ish weeks and she's 8-ish lbs, she'll probably top out at about 40-50 lbs. Nix was 11 lbs. at six weeks and he's now a 60 lb. beast :)
ginger is so cute !! you are so lucky

How sweet is that?! I need a dog so badly. I keep petting dogs I see on the street and I have to refrain from petting seeing-eye dogs.

ReplyDeleteDogs are so picky about water. We have one that loves to go swimming and we have one that loves it about half the time! I bet giving Ginger baths regularly will help with that, though! xo

Puppies grow up WayyyYY too fast! Homie got his second (much needed after a weekend of camping) bath last night and he was NOT impressed. It's crazy how fast they grow. He was just 8 lbs when we got him and is pushing 20 just 1 month later!! CRAZY! Ginger is so darling though, I bet she will be a GREAT water dog :)
