This past week I've been a stay at home puppy momma. I'm trying to watch her 24-7, work on the potty training, and also try to have my own life. This was the first time I dressed up {and put on makeup} all week. I was kind of living in my pajamas. The sweat pants were still comfy but cute enough to run errands in.

Looking at these pictures make me realize that 1) I desperately need a haircut..those split ends can be seen from miles away, 2) I need to find time to paint my nails {perhaps when puppy is sleeping} and 3) I want to go shopping!

ReplyDeleteso we are crate training him right now. we keep him in a kennel in the kitchen. we both work full time, and it sucks leaving him at home all day. but we do not leave him alone for more than three hours at a time. they say that if a puppy is 2 months old, they need to be let out how many months they are +1. so if he is 2 months old, he needs be let out every 3 hours. 3 months old, every 4. does that make sense? anyway, it works for us. we take him out right before we leave for work at like 8. then sean comes home for lunch at like 11. then i come home for lunch at like 2. we let him out and play around and then we both come home at 5 and we try to keep him out of his kenell as much as we can until bedtime. i have learned that dogs actually learn to love their kennel.. it is like there own special place, and the cool things is that no matter how old the puppy is, or if they are trained or not, they should not pee or poop where they sleep or eat. it is instinct for them and they are born that way. so mosey has never ever gone in his kennel. even if we had to be gone for 4 hours. he will hold it, and i bet ginger would too! just make sure ginger has a toy if you have to leave her for a couple of hours. i think she would be just fine! it is hard at first leaving them, but mosey has learned to just love his kennell. he will just go lay in there even when we don't make him.
anyway, if you have any other questions please let me know! i am no pro, but we have learned soo much already, and moses can already sit, stay, lay down, and shake! he pretty much also just runs to the door and sits by it or scratches when he needs to go out and go! it is incredible how smart dogs really are! love ya girl!
