This has probably been the longest I've worn my glasses ever! It's almost been 10 days nonstop and while I like that I don't have to clean my contacts each night, it's becoming a little much for me. I've been taking these non-preservative eye drops and I'm hoping that over the weekend I can transition back to my contacts. I just like the freedom of being able to wear my glasses when I want, and not being told by a doctor that it's a "must." Moderation is a good thing, though, so I'm sure I'll be switching back and forth every now and again.

Do any of you watch Downton Abbey? I'm so excited that the second season just started! It was my favorite show last year and 7 episodes weren't enough. If you like British period pieces you should watch it! The first season started after the Titanic sank and ended on the start of WWI. Soo good!!
Have a great day everyone!

Love Downton Abbey---hopefully will finally watch the series 2 premiere tonight!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean...I wore contact up until the minute I went to bed until my eye issues happened. Now I'm used to wearing them everyday, but it took a long time to be okay with it. Sort of a vanity issue for me, honestly. No matter how much I like some of my glasses...I almost always feel prettier in contacts (sad truth).
so many people have been talking about downtown abbey, i'm gonna have to check it out! you look so cute with glasses!

I love Downton Abbey! I am originally from the UK and when I went back to visit in November I was indoctrinated, haha! I watched all the episodes in the first series, but I don't get PBS so I am going to have to wait until the second series comes out on Netflix. I love it though! The costumes are amazing.

You're very pretty, even with your eyeglasses on. :) The look is absolutely charming. Anyway, I usually wear my eyeglasses more than my eye contacts since I feel a lot more comfortable with them.

Ugh, so know what you mean with the glasses Mara. I usually need to wear mine when I'm tired, or on the computer too long - and yup by day three I feel done!! ;)
ReplyDeleteAs for the outfit?! Gorgeous!! Loving the stripes mixed with your pretty lace skirt, and the sweater gives this outfit a lovely pop of texture & colour. Love, love!! Happy Thursday, sweet lady. xo V
oooh i am in love with this outfit!
ReplyDeletethis is such an absolutely wonderful outfit. that sweater is amazing. btw, though, i really think glasses suit your face so nicely. unfortunately i have had to do a round of wearing just my glasses when i messed my eyes up from too much contact use, but you are so lucky to have a face that is complemented by glasses. i always feel so "underdressed" or like i haven't brushed my teeth when i wear mine, cos i only really wear them at bedtime, so my association with them is just being all underdressed and all. also, i just sort of look horrible in glasses. i envy girls like you who look that much chicer in them! :) but i know what you mean. having the option to wear them or not wear them is nicer than being FORCED to wear them!

ReplyDeleteOhh I adore Downton Abbey! When I started watching it, I was like obsessed. I watched the first series in a day , and even watched some of the episodes twice afterward. It's such an addicting show! I want to watch the Christmas Special that came out in the UK in December. I saw stills from it and my heart just melted...anyway, really cute outfit and really the glasses add a great touch!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE this sweater, Mara! So pretty. I love the glasses on you, but I'm the same... I wear contacts and want glasses so I can mix it up a bit. It's nice to have both options! xo
