diy: abstract nails

March 22, 2012

I love switching up my nail color and experimenting with different nail DIYs. Sometimes I don't have the patience or the right tools for the DIYs, so I like trying ones I can do with what I have. The other day I wanted to try something a little different and unexpected. I decided to do isosceles triangles on my ring and pinkie fingers and french tips on the other three. Here's how I did it:

What do you guys think about nail DIYs? Any fun ones you'd like to share?

  5. Cute idea! I've been experimenting with painting 4 nails a certain color then painting one a different color. I thought I was being creative by going with teal & silver this time around. But this is an easy switch up for me!

    Looooove your ring BTW.

  22. that is so clever--I have neve used tape, always tried to rely on my steady hands--that sometimes aren't that steady.

Do you have to use special tape?

  26. Cute! How long do you let the base color dry before going on to taping and the second color?

  27. Really love the diagonal triangles... definitely need to give this a try but I may need to grow my nails out a bit more (they're so short that this might not work)!
