This outfit is perfect for transitioning from work to a dinner date. The spots add personality and I think the mustard color compliments it really well. I've also been loving the re-emergence of the pointy toe heel. I don't really know how or why this style got pushed to the back burner in the first place because pointy toes are such a classic, lady-like look {and it makes everyone's legs look that much longer!}.

blouse c/o 11 Eureka, skirt J.Crew, shoes Guess {similar}, clutch Banana Republic, glasses c/o Bonlook, necklace J.Crew, bracelets Heather Belle, J.Crew and Lauren Elan
What do you think about pointy toe heels? Love, Hate or Indifferent?
Are there any other trends you're excited about for Spring?

Love this look - one of my favorites of yours! I agree about the pointy toed pumps - I have a black pair that I wear all the time, but need to expand & get some more colors!

I can't help but feel a bit like a witch when I wear pointy heels, but you look great in them!
ReplyDeleteI love this combo - so elegant and feminine! As far as pointy toed shoes go, I'm middle of the road. I like how they look on many other people, but I don't like them as much on me!

ReplyDeleteYou look stunning, these photos are so pretty. Love the glasses & your hair up like that, so fab! And I'm a huge fan of pairing b&w with mustard - you've done it beautifully here. As for pointy heels?! Love em, I say yes to anything that makes my legs look longer. ;) xo
ReplyDeleteI really like the combo of the mustard and polkadots. I'd never heard of Eureka 11 before; will have to check them out!
ReplyDeleteO those buttons down the back, it's those extra details in clothing that I just love. I like pointy toe heels very classy like you said.
ReplyDeleteI love this look. I've always felt stumped when it comes to styling shorter-length tops, but this pairing with the skirt looks fantastic.

ReplyDeleteI really like the way you put this together. I've seen similar combos but mainly with mustard sweaters and boots. I love pointy shoes as well, they are all time classics! Though at times they get too pointy...we got to watch out for that!

i'm actually super excited for all the pastels coming in to spring. i loved the bold brights last year, but now that it's pastels, cremes and flowingness i can't wait for that!

I used to not like pointy toes because I thought they looked too severe, or somehow too business-y. But, lately I've been coming around.
ReplyDeleteI love your skirt--polka dots never fail to brighten an outfit :)
ReplyDeleteI have this skirt, and I have been trying to find something to wear as the top. I love your mustard top though! Super chic

ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful outfit! The skirt is incredible and such a classic - I've been loving the print lately, and was quite shocked to realize that all I have in it is a scarf. Spring will be a great opportunity to rectify this! :P

Loving this look Mara - it's so ladylike and sophisticated, but still fun! I can't get enough of polka dots. I still like pointy heels - but I agree, it's almost like they slipped off the radar. I think they'll always be a classic in my opinion!!!

Love these colors. Mustards and oranges are my favorites. And I'm dying to get Bonlook glasses. I just need to get an eye exam first. Those glasses look amazing on you. Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteOoh, this is so pretty Mara! I love the skirt, the dots are so fun! And I am also really happy to see pointy toes making a comeback... I think they got pushed out because the pointy-ness was getting SO extreme that shoes were looking a little scary... I like the more subtle point!
ReplyDeleteI love pointed toe heels. They're classic and professional and they elongate your legs. Yours look really cute with the patterned skirt and pretty blouse.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I love this look soooo much! Beautiful.
