Cayucos is a small town 10 miles south of Cambria. Like Cambria, Cayucos has one long "Main Street" {actually called Ocean Avenue} that holds most of the town's businesses. Cayucos is known for their amazing antique stores, beautiful beach, and these amazing brown butter cookies. On this particular afternoon we came a little late for antique shopping but we walked around, bought too many cookies and enjoyed the last few hours of sunshine. It was the perfect end to a relaxing day!

my mom tried on some lace Tom's..so cute!

Favorite Spots in Cayucos
Casual Food: Duckie's Chowder House {for chowder, what else!}, Schooner's {fish & chips, ocean view on roof}
Nice Restaurants: Hoppe's Garden Bistro
Things to Do: check out the antique stores {Remember When and Rich Man, Poor Man}, tour the renovated Cass House {home to the founder of Cayucos, Capt. James Cass}, sample the Brown Butter Cookie Company's cookies, pick out some old fashioned candies at Cayucos Candy Counter, walk along the beach/lay out/take a swim/build sandcastles!
