One weird thing about working in fashion is that you're always a few seasons ahead. While everyone is getting excited for the current season we're looking at the next season's styles. It's actually kind of annoying. In the middle of summer all I wanted to wear were coats and jackets, tights and scarves. That's kind of where I am right now. I'm dying to bring out the fall clothes. Unfortunately I'm going to the biggest fashion trade show in Las Vegas next week and what are they showing? Next Spring and Summer! And how hot will it be in Vegas? In the 100s! So yeah, I fear my excitement for Fall/Winter will wane a little bit under those conditions. But right now, at this moment, I'm inspired by Fall and planning all the transitional outfits I can think of. Fall is my favorite season so I'm thinking that love will prove itself.

I completely understand where you are coming from. For a number of years I was a shoe buyer and we buy even further ahead. Messes with your love of season!

This is basically how I've been dressing all summer in San Francisco. And then everywhere else you go, it's crazy hot!! I was in Vegas two weeks ago and got to wear all the shorts and sandals I never get to wear in SF
