It's still a little too warm to layer but a longer, breezy skirt and a short sleeve blouse make for a good transitional outfit. I've always been drawn to more feminine and classic looks and I love that skirts that fall below the knees can still be attractive.

September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month so I'm wearing teal to help raise awareness about this deadly disease that affects thousands of women. Every year since I was in high school I've volunteered for the Ovarian Cancer Coalition's annual walk/run that raises money for ovarian cancer research and education. There currently isn't an early detection test so being aware of the symptoms and possible signs is imperative. If anyone in LA is interested, come out Sunday to show your support! You can find more information about here and read more about Ovarian Cancer here.
Have a great weekend everyone!

I looove longer skirts in fall, too. with tights and boots in winter, sometimes a vintage skirt is warmer than just jeans
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit- the teal is perfect and the skirt kind of reminds me of leopard print!
ReplyDeleteAnd I think its great that youre raising awareness for a good cause.

This dress is perfection. I love-love-luurve polka dots and for some reason they feel so more sophisticated rather than playful when they're bigger like this. Anyway, you look fab!
ReplyDeleteFirst, I'm crazy-in-love with this look. It's so ladylike. And I love that your teal top helps to raise awareness for a good cause! Brilliant, Mara.
